i have picked up an old 17-18' cabin cruiser hull for a reasonable price, but it has never been identified and the PO filed for a lost title. the year, brand or model could not be identified and it was issued a homebuilt title.
I think the boat is too well designed to be a glastron as is suggested by the PO....... my guess is, it is somewhere in the 70's to early 80's vintage.
it has very well fitted teak wood through out... the windows are all flat glass with extruded aluminum frames ( still no leaks after all these years).. the deck (floor) is flat from front to rear and sealed with scupper holes at the transom and a drain plug for the below deck/bilge.... the hull deck joint is an upturned bulwark style with an aluminum caprail.... (its very solid and without flex)... the hull resembles a boston whaler design and the bow at the hull deck joint is not pointed, but broad and rounded, making for a broad foredeck.... it has an outboard well and the outside of the transom is stepped.... thicker where the motors would hang, and steps to a bit thinner outboard of the motorwell cutout...
did boston whaler make small cabin cruisers?... any other suggestions? Thank you...
