Can anyone identify this part ?

That looks to be an air silencer from what I can tell. Bolts to the front of the carb.

I agree with Mercury1.Looks like an intake silencer from the pre-plastic era.

Wow an air silencer,looks expensive.Now if I knew what years and HP's it fit maybe I could sell it!

Junk... It fits the older OMC 25, 30, 35hp etc models back in the early years of 1955 through about 1958, somewhere in there.

Thanks Joe 30+ years at OMC,I guess if anybody knows it would be you!I guess I'll put it on ebay and see what happens,might be somebody looking for one.I tried to find one on internet and ebay no results,found the gasket only.
