I just purchased this sears 7 hp clutch shift outboard. I just want to know more about it,year, model#, some kind of manual user or repair available, anything I can find out. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

p.s. there is a tag mounted underneath the motor if this will help the #'s are as followed
t-640-05a , 6740795.

I don't recognize those numbers though the t 640 may be a powerhead type not model. Most likely this is an Eska built motor using a Tecumseh aircooled power head and a water cooled leg.Powerhead is most likely an AV750 or AV817. Last Eska 7 appears to be 74 though Sears lists a 76.Look all over on the mounting bracket for a model number probably beginning with 225 followed be 58 or 59XXX. I believe certified parts corp or discount marine may have parts. Also a small engine shop may have the Tecumseh powerhead parts.

I can also picture this OB to be an air-cooled Eska from the late 60's or early 70 's sold by Sears.

Thanks for the help boys. I actually found the model and serial #'s for it. Hey It's my first OB & Boat a newbie's gotta learn somehow right?
This particular one is a 1972 model. Just ordered a carb kit for it. Now I'm waitin on the snail mail for it to get here.
