The casting number (332660) doesn't tell me anything. Anyone know what motor this comes from???

Sure looks like it is off a 4.5 / 8 hp Johnson.----Have a number of those housings laying around.---Maybe look at one later today.

Looked at some this afternoon.--------4.5 to 8 hp bottom end.-------First marketed in 1980 model year !

Thanks guys. I always struggle when trying to cross reference a casting number to an actual model. There must be a reference source somewhere, somehow! Irritating!! Thanks again!!!

I started twirling wrenches on outboards over 60 years ago, and I've never seen a cross reference between casting numbers and final part numbers. Maybe in some dusty file cabinet at the factory---which BTW went bankrupt some years ago.
