Generally known as old tinny.
Ayuh,.... It's an ole tin rowboat.... What does the registration say the manufacturer is,..??
I can tell you first hand, finding the manufacture of an old boat can be a chore. Unless someone happens to have one just like it, it can be hard to tell by looks because the manufactures use similar techniques and hardware. I finally found what makes my two old Tinnies are, but only after looking all over the internet at pictures in general of older aluminum boats. After finding what make it is, you will be able to search it and find that many people do generally have ones just like or similar to yours, but just did not happen to see your post when you put it up. Looking at the picture of your boat I see different things that make me think "it could be this model or that model", but because I really don't know, I'm not going to guess. Just keep looking and searching the internet and this site for any pictures of boats like yours and most likely you will find who the manufacture is. I still like looking at the old pictures even though I have found what I was looking for, so I'll keep an eye out for one that looks like yours and let you know if I see something. Good Luck and happy boating.
Kind of a "dime a dozen" boat - everyone made one, y'know? BUT - they're great fishing boats....I found an identicle one on my local Craigslist but it didn't list a name.... go figure. The old title does say its a 1975 model.
Ok, I'll bite. What is the brick for ??I see an anchor, but why the brick ? Is it to clobber the massive fish you catch????
Actually, they were required for all boats made or imported into the US on or after November 1, 1972. Therefore, the boat should have had one. Look on the transom on the starboard side.HIN's weren't used until 76.
Just a guess but I'm thinking Sea Nymph, Sears, could be Monkey Wards. You may never discover the actual manufacturer. HIN's weren't used until 76. It's probably registered as home built for the current HIN. So who cares anyway, it's not like it's under warranty or you're needi ng original parts. Just funnin ya.
you might wanna replace that caribiner on your anchor with a screw type chain link. I lost a good anchor using a caribiner in 5' of water.
Welcome to iboats!

Registration says "John Boat" the old title says "Unknown"....
We used to have one, but the john....it is Jon Boat. If you do a search on that spelling you will get more google results.
