Can anyone tell me what my trailer weighs?

I'm trying to determine the actual weight of my trailer. It is a 1994 Shorelandr, model V1710 according to the paperwork I have. (It was bought used). No such model # exists on Shorelandr's website. It is a single axle, galv. bunk trailer with 13" wheels.
I would appreciate even an educated guess, as I don't have any experience in this area. I know the best way to accomplish this is to actually weigh it, but can anyone get me reasonably close? Thanks.

If that's for a 17' boat, I'd guess close to 450-lbs since the new SLR15 is spec'd at 410-lbs and the SLB18LN is spec'd at 485-lbs...

Docking the boat then taking the trailer to a scale to weigh it unhitched is fairly easy.. A little time consuming but easy.

If you have a bathroom scale that reads anything over 200 pounds use it to weigh the trailer. Take it with you on your next outing. Splash the boat and park the trailer and disconnect it from the tow vehicle. Place one tire on the scale and note the weight. Weight the other side. Then set the tongue jack on the scale. Add all three and that's the weight. Yes -- you should be able to lift one side of the trailer and kick the scale under the wheel.

I collect catalogs and I'm sure I have that one. But I won't be home till next week. Why don't you just call up ShoreLandr?

I just bought license plates for my trailer. My boat is 17'-3". My trailer is single axle with 13" wheels. The weight of my trailer is 520lbs. It's not a Shorelander but a Spartan. My guess is this is in the ballpark.

Re: Can anyone tell me what my trailer weighs?

Thanks again to all who "weighed in" (sorry!). I was really just looking for a close estimate so I could total up my actual towed weight. I knew the actual weight of the boat, motor, and all gear, so I just needed a more educated guess on the trailer. Sounds like I can't be too far off if I use 450#. Someday I will get an actual weight, but for now we're up to the fenders in snow.....
