Bought a 150 hp evinrude mid 80's?<br /><br />model E150TXC? last number is missing<br />serial J1141122

Wish we could. E/J goes by the model number. We may be able to track it down a little further though.<br /><br />This may be a longshot but lets try -- how many power packs? 1 or 2?

OK. 2 packs narrows it down some. The last year they used 2 packs was 1988. So were between 1980 an 1988.<br /><br />What does the flywheel look like? Are there slots in it? Or is it solid from the nut out to the teeth?

Is there any way to run the motor without the harness attached. Will be mixing the fuel. Would like to start tunning but boat isnt ready for it.
