can i take the wiring harness out of the control box and install it on the dash,,also i have a binnacle shifter that came with the boat how can i tell if the cables (shift , throttle) are for my motor ,,If they fit can i use them i have a 175 evinrude ,, I just dont like the side shifter and really dont want to remove the binnacle shifter the cables move freely no binding or stickyness

Without knowing the specifics, I would say the answer is probably "yes" to both questions. The kill switch and start-in-neutral switches (if any) may pose a problem though.

If your binnacle mount is an OMC control like your side mount the cables will interchange. Yes, the key and kill switch can be installed in the dash, no problem at all.

just found out the binnacle is a mercury control,,so i guess Iam stuck with the side mount

Unless you change to Morse C3 cables and end-adapters for Mercury at the binacle side and OMC at engine side.
