Can I convert Suzuki Controls for GT 150

I am installing a 1989 GT 150 on a bass boat that had a suzuki 115 on it. Can I convert the controls to use with my motor? I am wondering this because the controls I have are for a deck boat that mount in a counsel not the side mount that a bass boat requires. Thanks for the help.

I do not think that you will be able to convert your controls to work with your Johnson motor. a new set of top mount controls sell for around $100-150 on ebay or in your local classifieds or craigslist. a lot of times you can even get it with the wiring harness and cables. you will need the "big red plug" style wiring harness.
