Can I convert Suzuki Controls for GT 150

I am installing a 1989 GT 150 on a bass boat that had a suzuki 115 on it. Can I convert the controls to use with my motor? I am wondering this because the controls I have are for a deck boat that mount in a counsel not the side mount that a bass boat requires. Thanks for the help.

WOW a tall order there I'd say. And I have no idea how either of those control actually operate. However, if you know how the control operates and also know what your engine requires, then you could adapt them if you know the limits of each section. I mean you would have to understand the min/max throw capability for the controls to see if it matches or could be made to match the engine requirements. I honestly think a better idea would be to locate the proper control for the engine and install that . That way you know for certain it will work... IDK :noidea:

LOL! Ya well I thought it would be worth a shot at least. I seem to always find the difficult projects to work on.
