I have a 1974 Evinrude 9.9 that it appears the choke knob is broken on. It appears to be an obselete part and is not made anymore. Anyone know where I can get one?

Have you tried your local dealer? Might have one in stock - same knob was used on Johnson and Evinrude 9.9 and 15 models up into the early 1990s.

Well, when that doesn't work, they'll still have one for $18, maybe. Seems cheap to me for a rare part almost 40 years old, but what do I know...

most super glues will dry out and fall apart in a short period of time, epoxy will melt with heat.

$18 is mighty cheap to pay.It will save a ton of head ache.
Take it from me my father is Scottish and my birth mother is Jewish.(put your own joke in the middle)

While you are at it, you might get the plaastic detent that the choke knob goes thru. It's the thing that holds the choke in the out and 1/2 out position.
