Am I allowed to keep a shotgun on my boat? As long as the gun is cased I would imagine it is OK?
Would the coast guard flip if they found it?
I know we have the right to have guns in America, but as with many rights, they have been curtailed.
I am just looking for what some of the more experinced boat owners think.

I have a Remington 870 Marine 12 gauge, which is zinc plated for 'wet work'.

Are you expecting pirates?

All that I can say is, if it's legal or illegal, would you rather be caught with a gun or without one?

Well first of all you are baiting to get into a political discussion.

You need to contact your local law enforcement for the proper answer. This is not the forum to discuss "rights" or seek legal advice from strangers.
