Leave it alone and spray it out with Powertune or Carbonguard and compressed air

The only reason i asked was that someone on this forum asked if i were replacing the check valve.
All i am doing is rebuilding the engine. The reason for the rebuild is that the 2 crankshaft seals had failed.
I will try and document the build. This is my first tear down and rebuild of outboard.
Is there anything i should do or tips on the rebuild ?
I have the factory manual and will cover everything in 2 stroke oil.
Plus it will be built in a clean environment

The top and bottom crank seals rarely fail.---Any close-up pictures of these failed seals ?

Unfortunately Racerone i have replaced them already.
I had a black oily mixture coming from the bottom of the power head and from under the fly wheel. The power head had the same mixture of fuel and oil blowing out beside the starter and solenoid from where the unit joins.
Plus i could only run it on a thick fuel mixture of 25/1. I bought the engine (my first ever outboard) like this and thought the mixture was normal. I then found out the correct ratio was 50/1. I tried to run her on the 50/1 and she struggled to even get on plane.
She would be a p.i.t.a to start but once running she revd ok but had no power.I reverted back to the 25/1 and she ran good again out of the hole and on plane in no time.
That is why i knew they were shot.
The engine has had zero maintenance in the last 35 years until i got it.
