The outdrive is an OMC cobra basically a Volvo SX with a 1.66 gear ratio.

We found a turn key engine low hour and fresh water cooled. just need to buy the bell housing which the same seller can probably get for us.

As long as the engine would fit in engine room. THe boat is a long way from where I am too lazy to drive up there to measure it.

That engine is quite a bit bigger from side to side. Measure for clearance.

Motor mounts? gonna be a problem?

It will likely tear your boat up. Coast guard puts a horsepower rating on hulls for a reason. You overdo it, and it may bust your hull to pieces over time.
