Long ago at work one the Pipefitters at work used this on anything "rubber". Be it O-Rings, etc.

I STILL have a 1/2 full tube it, decades later. TRUST ME HERE! I've done EVERY O-Ring, anything rubber with it. Damn! I've done new impellers with it new install, and still on the blades next yank. And on the fill/drain screw gaskets L/U. Best $20 ya ever spent. Link..

The stuff is good but crazy priced. Alladin magic lube works just as well at $3 a tube

So it reads as a sealant/lubricant but what enhancement does it provide for the o rings, impellers and such? Just wondering since I've never heard of it before.

Concur about everything rubber , Airkroil on everything with bolts too . Best investment since Stable gas treatment as I don't like cleaning carbs or like my one arm to look like the Lady at Honda Factory that guarantee's start first pull . Popeye was ambidextrous n spinach created genetic enhanced forearms .

Well, thats a question easily search Google, but heres a primer. A hardened with age ORing will fail as needs to stay lubed and flexible as it must roll back and forth to function properly like in a HYD ram. But theres fluid too it that application. On a seal only, say on a bolt that uses one to seal out water? Well its not not gonna move, but with age deteriorates and will fail. Thats why the first lube it. Plus its a "sealant". On Impellers? Heck on install ya can use dish soap, grease, Vaseline, hell, KY Jelly? But I've done 100's impellers with it, and coated Dow 111 twisted in? Almost got to slam the cover on quick as it will pop out as so slippery! And years later, ya can still feel it the inside the blades as ya coat the whole blade..(don't pack it, just lube the blades) as it time will sling off. And wear latex gloves using it and on the fingers, hard to wash off.

And on the $3 stuff? Come on. A tube will last a decade even if $20 (and its cheaper if ya search around). Why not use the proven Dow Chemical 111, $2 bucks a year, or the $3 buck snake oil stuff to save a $1.30 a year? Ya get what ya pay for. Anyway, "how a ORing works"
