can I still get parts for evinrude 3hp yachtwin 1964

I have recently bought an evinrude yactwin 3 hp. It came with a 1964 service manual, sop I think it is from that year. When I put fresh fuel mix into the tank and tried to start it fuel came leaking out from the carburetor. On closer inspection i have noticed that the Air silencer is missing. What impact does this have and am I able to get this part or even an entire carburetor. <br />Any reply welcome.

Most common service parts are available even at NAPA it needs the silencer and the screen that is between it and the carb, it won't right if it's a fixed high speed jet and it keeps the big peices out of the engine

Silencer has nothing to do with it, Craig.<br /><br />You have a stuck float or a leaky float needle. Overhaul the carburetor.
