Can I use a 350 GM w/electric shift?

Will my electric shift be able to handle a 280hp chevy 350 on a 24' reinell The drive was rebuilt with new bearings and seals half a year ago, and is in great shape. The drive is also a hi-profile. Will it work?

The original engine was a 307 chevy. no.6 connecting rod broke and blew a hole in the block.
