Been reading the forums and have read about the vro and the pump. I have a 1986 140hp looper that had the vro diconnected which means that i have to mix my gas.
Its not a big deal but could i install one of these pumps on my engine. If so were can i buy such a pump. And how reliable are they.

Re: Can i use an oil pump

If you have the original (doubtful) fuel pump it has the oil injection side already. The oil inlet side is probably just blocked off. Look at the pump. If the outlet nipple going to the carbs is part of the pump and is black, thats an old VRO pump and should be upgraded. The newer pumps have a tan or grey outlet nipple. The newest OMS pumps have replacable nipples and a 4 wire harness. The only other thing you need is the oil tank.
