can I use my boat trim busted

alpha1 888 302 ford,, trim does not up/down but motor whirrs or runs. until I can fix can I use the boat and how do I get it up for taking it to the lake.. can I just pull it up
and use a strap to hold it.. until I get there or will this hurt
the cylinders when I force it up.. seems like it will take a great effert to get it up??

You would probably have to disconnect one of the 4 trim hoses at the bottom of the drive in order to pick it up... Have you added fluid to the pump resevoir??? Might be a simple fix. I wouldnt use the boat with the trim not functioning... You might run into some problems in shallow water or putting in or pulling out of the ramp...

yes its busted the fuid just drains out the bottom just above were the hose hooks up to the bottom.. I know I will have to fix it.. not sure what how.. to use a kit. or just buy a new unit.. I have not figured which one I have yet so I can order parts.. I quess I will have to take it out.. I cannot see any marking or names just looking at it /// its all black.. 1976 I think its a high preasure type?
