Can i use permatex #3 instead?

Hey guys, Page 3A-60 of manual #25 says to use Quicksilver RTV sealant on the harmonic balancer when putting back on. I bought some permatex #3 form a gasket for the water pump gaskets already, can I use it also for the harmonic balancer?

Ayuh,..... RTV is usually silicone, but #3 oughta work just fine,....
