can i use pick up parts like piston ring and head gaskets on my 4.3 volvo penta?

Pistons and rings are the same as automotive.
Head gaskets must not contain steel rings in them. Felpro composite head gaskets work great.

i am asuming that all internal parts of the 4.3 engine are same from auto...except for starter,alternator and ignition...

marine cams are of a different grind so they do not suck water back in the exhaust valves.
