Removing a 1993 115 Powerhead, I had to re-lower the PH momentarily due to my hoist...It slowly came down onto the end of the shift rod and knocked a small piece out of the front of the crank case...See the hole in the picture.
Can I plug this hole? Obviously it not in the higher pressure back-end half but the crank is just behind this hole. Or I have plenty of front cases, is it ok to use a spare front case if they are not a matched pair?
