Hey tie_one_on,<br /><br />I could not find your email and figured this would be a good way to contact you and ask a question about an OMC to volvo swap. According to a post I have found in "search" you have done this and found a way to fill the hole left by the OMC. I have a very nice and clean '72 22' Reinell Cabin Cruz that I just purchased cheap. Great boat for windy kansas lakes. It has a junk 225 OMC. I am willing to spend some $ on this boat as I have very little invested and want to make this boat very reliable for years to come. I would greatly appreciate any help/advice from someone who has done this. <br /><br />email

Also like Ken said make sure your transom is thick enough. My was almost 2". If you need ideas about plugging the big hole covered by your rubber boot let me know I'll tell you how I did it. Oh I did mine in early 2000 have over 250 hours on the set up and "knock on my wooden head" no problems."
