It's a Volvo Penta AQ. The engine looks like an AQ-130. The engine model should also have a letter on the end, such as an AQ-130A. Are there any similar numbers on the rocker cover?

I'm in agreement with wrench 3. As for the drive, I'm certain it's an old Volvo Penta 250 model.

Not necessarily. The drives are very robust with repair and maintenance parts readily available. The engine is easy to work on, but major parts like pistons and heads require a bit of research to find a supplier with actual parts on hand. Some people like to tinker and rebuild things, others just want to use them. Different strokes and all that.

I happen to have an AQ130D in my boat and also have a spare AQ130C engine in the garage that I rebuilt. I had fun rebuilding the engine and also have fun on the boat. Just depends on your available time and skill set.

The twin carbs make it something different than a 130.
It could be a 140 or bigger.
The motor says Chrysler but it's a Volvo.
The carbs, they seem to be down draft solex.
Look on the motor for tags or stickers.
More pics?
The year of the boat would help.
Over on marine engine . com
There is a guy, Rick he'd probably know what it is.

You're mistaken Jerry, the AQ130 did have twin carbs. I'm sure Rick would agree. You're so quick to refer people away from this site...Even when they have received the best info possible considering the limited amount of info.

AQ130 C , B20 Volvo block ,2l displacement ,130 HP,I had several of these engines ,B20 also used in Volvo cars with two Stronberg or SU carburators.Sold as a Chrysler in few years period of 80's.
Good engine, still rebuildable ,but is getting harder to find parts,eBay or Volvo forums like TurboBricks are places to look for parts.

Those are Solex carbs. Stromberg side draft carbs have rectangular flame arrestors. There is a tag near the starter that will give the model number. A&B models had Stromberg downdraft carbs. D models had the larger airbox that covered both carbs. VP quit production of these in the 76-77 time frame as OHC technology and lighter, aluminum heads became viable.

OP, have you looked for the tag? Although it really doesn't matter which engine it is unless the owner wants to do something with it. You'll be hard pressed to find a VP dealer that will do any work on these so it's mostly a DIY project - and that's what this forum is all about. If you want some nuts and bolts help, more than a few of us here can help you with specifics like bearing and wrist pin sizes and how to tell which ones fit which version of the engine block and crankshaft. My opinion, the hardest thing to find will be a good replacement head, if one is needed.

As far as TurboBricks, be careful, there's some good info but not all is applicable to marine engines.
