HI, Can someone please help me identify my engine. I purchased my very first boat last year, a Glastron Spirit 15ft with a Johnson 50 hp VRO engine ( The VRO part is not there on the engine).
I need to find out the year or model number of this engine, but all I can find on it are two numbers. Can someone tell me the information that I need from these numbers? One is on a silver plug and reads G2292363 the other number is stamped on the back of the engine and reads 334280 or the 8 maybe a 6. I have attached some photos which I hope will help. I have read somewhere that Johnson engine covers are sometimes put on Evinrude engines.?
I really need to know the year because I now have problems with the trim & tilt which is screaming when you try to operate it. I have no idea how to check or fill up the fluid.
