Can you take your rear bunk brackets off the bunk, turn them around and remount, then you could trim the end of the bunk. Once you put the tabs up to the boat you may not have to do anything. My bunks stick out a little on my trailer but do not contact the tabs.

I wouldn't move the boat, I would move the bunks as much as you can.

Not going to say anything about the Smarttabs other than they wouldn't be my first choice.

Lenco and Benett both have auto up options when the key is turned off. You don't have to move anything. Your trailer if adjusted right the bunk should meet the end of the transom. There is no reason for the bunk to hang out further than the boat. Just make sure at least those two are even If not peel back the carpet, get out the saw, re staple carpet. not rocket science.

Put the boat in the water yesterday and moved the post back 5.5". Enjoyed the afternoon on the water, and when I retrieved the boat, the transom sits square on the rear bunks with about 1/4" overhang. Going to mount the smart tabs this week and see how it goes, will post pics of ther install.

one other thing, i think the boat was a bit too far forward on the trailer - the tongue weight has changed slightly and for the better. The downward load on the hitch receiver is not as much as before and the trailer tows better - not as much tug as before

thx guys for all the input and advice

I would weigh your trailer and then weigh the tounge weight and make sure it is around 10% of the trailer weight.

No can do - only one scale that I know of here and it is owned by DOT - don't know if they will allow it. on another note - I only tow for a distance of not more than 5 miles so I am not overly concerned. Thx for the advice though - I will check it out if I can get the rigs weighed, trailer is rated for 5800 and the boat is only 3200
