I've read on several posts here that bad connections to the battery can kill a rectifier regulator. Can a weak battery also lead to the early demise of this component? I'm fairly confident I'll be replacing my rectifier and possibly my stator (will be testing them this weekend per the manual), but this battery is 5 or 6 years old and I don't want to risk damage to my new ignition components. I leave the Guest onboard charger plugged in while I'm starting and working on it on the hose/muffs in the driveway - is this a bad practice for any reason? I will be making sure my wires are properly connected to the battery too. Thanks very much for any advice!
