I am looking into this 1969 100hp evinrude, and the wiring will definitely need to be replaced. Other than that, it looks good.

The wiring doesn't look like it will be hard to re-do myself, but, can you buy a harness?

Just curious. It's a selectric shift 100hp starflite.

Thanks
Shawn

Try WWW.rapair.com they may have harness in stock. I would check the pulse pack and price one, you may want to pass on this project.

If you haven't bought it, I would suggest a newer, non-electric shift motor. i.e. ~ 1972 or newer, if you're into old motors. The wiring internally to the LU can be a real problem. There are a number of OB salvage outfits (Twin City Marine, Trixie's Landing in Bayville, NJ, and others, where parts for old motors can be found, along with Ebay).

I'll probably just pass on this engine. It is cheap at an asking price of $200, and he said he'd take $150...but I dont want to deal with it. I want to bolt an engine onto my boat and go fishing!

Thanks!
Shawn
