can you glass aluminium?

I am building a new motor well for my trophy. when I had the new motor hung we built an aluminium transom plate built to accomodate the 25" shaft motor.. will glass stick to the aluminium if I choose to glass to it or do I have to glass to glass. If I use the aluminium, I can gain a foot of deck space.

You can glass over aluminum in some applications but it all depends on the application. As a rule if you are just "tabbing" to the aluminum it will not hold and can/will break away. From what I'm reading it might not make sense so post a photo of what it is you are doing.

Ayuh,... The answer to that is,... Not very well to a flat out Nope...

No, this will not work. Use Gluvit, you need epoxy to stick to aluminum.
