Can you guys help a non-boater with some fiberglass advice?

Did you grind everything with 36 grit? It doesn't look like you feathered out the edges of the plastic where you cut it out.

I sanded everything down with 40 grit....all I could find.....around the edges before applying the epoxy and the fiberglass underneath as well. I feathered the edges I thought fairly well.

What are you seeing that I need to do a better job on?

I planned to skim coat it again but I ran out of epoxy and cannot find the G Flex anywhere locally and anywhere mail order is a week out, which really sucks

What did you sand it with? The acrilyc should be sanded down and tapered out at least an inch, there should be no ridge where the laminate meets the acrylic. In the pics it appears there's a ridge, might just be an illusion though.

I am not seeing edges, but I do see it still needs to be sanded and feathered out, then skim coated and finish sanded
