can you help with older 30hp tohatsu?

I just bought a older 30hp tohatsu. The side plate reads: M30A2
346b 54759

It starts like a champ. I replaced the gear oil took it out on the river. Runs great on a plane but sputters at low rpm's.

If I was to take it to a dealer and have them service/look it over, What exactly do they do and what are they looking for? Is there anything about this particular motor that I should be aware of? Mahalo

Does it have a low speed mixture adjustment?
You will be better off in the Tohatsu section. But speaking generically most motors that have sat for a while need the fuel system serviced with attention to cleaning
and replacing whats needed..
