Can you tell me the year of my Evinrude?

We have a 60 HP motor and we need to know the year it
was made. What other information would someone need,
to be able to tell me the year?

Look for a 1" X 3" plate on the transom bracket with model and serial numbers. If you don't find the plate, look on the engine block for a convex, nickel-sized, aluminum welch plug with the numbers.
