Can you tow an inflatable on tower ?

I'm sure i read some-where that it is not recommended by the Manufacturer in my case a Roswell tower that you shouldn't tow inflatables on the tower top knob.
Is it because the tower would flex to much and cause damage to the boat ?
Thoughts ?
