....well I'm ready. It's going to be a good game and I'm expecting a lot more of a challenge than the last one. Sweden is often quick to diss and trash talk the Canadians...which is fine. I love watching the increased rivalry and competition as a result of it.
Short term plan until game time: Head outside into the sun to dig a two post holes. Its a beautiful sunny clear day here...but a bit cold for us at about 2-3? C. (40? F.). No snow of course, but definitely some frost on the windshield this morning.
Beverage of choice for game time:
-Rickards Red and/or
-Hermanns Dark Lager and/or
-Bowen Island Cream Ale

40 mins and counting boyz..... i have been awake for hours chomping at the bit for this game......2 undefeated teams will go in........one will come out !
i expect sweden to be a real test of the team.......we have tremendous depth.....and solid on the defence.......watch for tyson barrie to be a force....
in the team he plays for, he swaps from defence to forward all the time, so he will be very sneaky, a kinda ace in the hole. one of the coaches, (ryan huska) is his home team head coach, so ryan knows barrie has the talent, and ability to be used as a sleeper.
the sweds are a great team....good cycling the puck, they have scoring talent....and are great on defence.
i expect this to be one of the great games of the tournament.
Beverage for me this afternoon is pepsi or ginger ale with nothing mixed with it other than ice !!!
I have to drive to our party straight after the game !!!
btw.......our team.....the (kelowna rockets) tryed to get both schenns to play on the same team.....luke was a power house on the defence till he was stolen by the leafs at 18 years old.
they didnt get braydon schenn because kelowna is a defence based farm....(we make some of the best defencemen in the nhl)
since breydon plays forward......the family decided that he would play for a different team, but was torn because they wanted the brothers to stay together thru their teen years.
braydon often came to see luke play here.......im kinda pizzed we didnt get him.

And guys Please just Lipp it's been my nickname for......awhile! CJ7 was because I used to have a CJ7 Jeep but I found out that Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket and I decided to get into Boats which stands for Break Out Another Thousand... go figure from one money pit to another right!
