JB, we residents (did I use the right pronoun? ) of the United States of America entered into a friendly wager with the fine Canadians on the board, regarding the results of Men's Olympic Hockey. At one point the original poster of that thread tried to amend the wager to include the Women's tourney. When I pointed out that it had been well established that it was for the Men's tourney only, he replied with "my thread, my rules." He was joking, of course, so everyone that was involved in the wager knows that "my thread, my rules" is a playful jab and indeed a joke.
Rainman, is this countdown like Lent, or the Sabbath, it ends at sundown? If so, we could use half days, right?!

Hey rainman, where is your flag? I got mine up today as my half of the deal. Those two teams both deserve a lot of credit. Both awesome, game could go either way on any given day.

If you didn't take part and aren't flying the appropriate flag yourself, it seems a bit high-handed to be trying to make any rules....

I'm good with that. And I won't be standing around with a calendar either.

This is all in good fun. It was a great game that either team could have won (but the better team did).

I don't know about the "taking part" part, but I could swear that when he started this thread, he had the Maple Leaf flag in his avatar?

I will make it easy for you, go to user CP , click on edit avatar Paste this in option 1 http://i785.photobucket.com/albums/yy135/hvacbill/USA/avatar_4542.gif

click on save changes

So how do I fly the Canadian flag as per the wager?

right click save as on one of the avatars you want (with flag) (put it on your desktop or wherever you can find it)then edit your avatar to include your new saved .GIF.
