An American childrens Hockey team went to Montreal for a game.<br />The Bus they arrived in was surrounded by anti american protesters and once the children got inside the arena they were booed by the crowd!!<br /><br />They aught to be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!

I heard about that story Thursday. It was the PeeWee Hockey League. Sad that they would behave that way. I can't hold all the Canadians responsible. It was mainly college students that were the protestors.<br /><br />To me protestors are the most selfish, selfcenterd people on earth. They have no regards to other peoples feelings and rights. I feel it mostly is the immature younger crowd that behaves that way. Tells me there is something that is not being taught in schools around the world. Morals and Humanity. Jus my thoughts......SS

It is my opinoin that protesters have sunk to a new low. To blame all Canadians is in my oppinion unfair. It seems to me that this body of Canadians is not a fair representation of the population. I believe most canadians would not condone this.<br /><br />I do not have firsthand knowledge of this incedent but take your word of it.<br /><br />We also should give some note to the location of this incedent, MONTREAL IS IN QUEBEC.

Quebec is still part of Canada, just like New York and California are part of the US. The beliefs of many in those two states do not reflect the majority of the other states either.<br /><br />It's up to all of us to take the blame for the idiots out there that give everyone a bad name.

Not all canadians support the Canadian governments position on the Iraq conflict. The reasons for Jean Chretien's decision not to back my friends in the US have been speculated upon by many. <br />No one who considers Jean Chretiens background can believe it to be anything to do with moral principles. <br />One theory is that he wants an appointment to the UN or security council when he retires and sees support for the US against Iraq as a possible hinderence. Another possible reason is a provincial election in Quebec where over 80% oppose canada joining the coalition and he wants to help his friend win the election and replace the separatist party now in power.<br /><br />This basicly sacrifices our true friends for the those who want to tear Canada apart from the inside.<br /><br />check this link http://www.canoe.ca/Columnists/bell.html

Minority or Majority, each individual is still entiteled to a view.<br /><br />Enbolden them it may, but this does not warrent persacution of protesters. Violence and thugs are another matter they are crimes,prosacutable. But protesting is not a crime and should never be in a free socioty.

Yet, when they "get out of line", they're fair game.<br /><br />Trouble is, we seem to have trouble determining where that "out of line" line is.<br /><br />IMO, if a protester disrupts commerce, government activities or impinges upon someone elses civil rights, that is the line.<br /><br />By the way, IMO, a civil right is not being protected from having your "feelings" hurt.<br /><br />I'm going to "play" with the boat.
