While this was a despicable act against children, I don't believe it reresents the majority of Canadians any more than our protesters represent the majority of us. I am always treated well in Canada, both by English and French speaking Canadians. The people are friendly, courteous and hold the US in regard, generally. I hope our historically good relations don't suffer because of the acts of a few politicians and special interest people.

Jack Shellac I have to disagree about the treatment in Canada. I have found the people in Quebec have treated me very poorly on every occasion. They dont even attempt to hide there ill feelings towards Americans. A stark contrast to how well I have been treated in my travels to B.C. and other points west. Does anyone on this board have a clue as to why the French hold themselfs in such high regard???

The French Canadians want Canada to be French.<br />It has been a struggle emanating from Quebec<br />since the Country was born.They hold referendums<br />and their own separatist party is the government<br />there.They do not like English speaking Canada.<br />Of course this does not cover every frenchman but<br />does include a major majority.<br />They are a special society and seek recognition<br />from Canada.The want all of Canada to teach<br />mandatory french in schools and permit no english<br />signs.I am very tired of them as you might gather<br />from my posts.Its not just Americans they dont<br />like, Its English Canadians as well.

It's not just the french canadians, it's all french speaking people that have a problem with english speaking people. I've visited France and was taken aback at how rude they were when I spoke english. Must be because Napoleon got his arse kicked way back when. Ever since then theyv'e been a nation of whining cowards.
