Cannon Plug

Is the Volvo cannon plug wired in the same configuration as the Merc? As in, are the wires in the same clock position. Looking to simplify the motor harness since I'm converting to carb.
Hardin makes a Merc style engine harness that might work.

Looked at the pinout on the Merc and Volvo harnesses. Looks like it will work. Might have to change a couple of wires on the boat side.
ProMarine also makes one for the Merc's.

So. Here's what I found. They're the same!
Both the Volvo and Merc engine harness plugs are as follows:
Pin 1 -Black -Ground
Pin 2 - Gray -Coil negative/ TACH
Pin 3 - Tan- Water temp sender
Pin 4 - Tan/Blue - Oil pressure switch
Pin 5 - Purple -Starter/Alt/Coil
Pin 6 - Red/Purple - 40amp accessories
Pin 7 - Yellow/Red - Start relay/starter/FP relay
Pin 8 - Blue - Oil pressure sensor
Pin 9 - Not used
Pin 10 - Brown/White -Trim sender
