Can't find a windshield mount for a 2000 Crestliner Fishhawk 1750

I just purchased a 2000 Crestliner Fishhawk 1750 single console and the front mount locks in the windshield is broken.

I went to a local Crestliner dealer and he said they stopped making that replacement part awhile ago.



I don't know if anyone has a site that they know might have it or how to modify it to fix it. If you do that would be awesome.



It does not look like the mount below.

Have you got a picture of what it does look like??

It looks like it's just a lip that holds down the windshield. And the lip apparently broke.

OK, so it looks like the hardware that is included with this windshield:
2000 Crestliner Fish Hawk Clear Plastic with Hardware Lot C650 | eBay

It just has a hole that a screw or something is supposed to go through. If it were me, I'd just make one out of a piece of aluminum bar.

Not really skilled. How would I go about making one out of aluminum bar?

Use a file to file out a tab in a piece of aluminum bar, then drill a hole to put a screw in.

Or alternately it looks like you could just drill a hole into the side of what you have left and use a screw and washer to secure it.

Or a piece of Starboard. Trace the old one on to the Starboard and take a jigsaw and cut it out.your piece looks to be Starboard in black. West marine sells it

Ok. Well, I don't have a jigsaw and have never seen one. lol. Maybe my friend could do it. I take jr starboard is a type of plastic.
