Can't find any info on my boat maker?

I have a 1988 Excel Barron bowrider and can't find any info on this boat. Maybe it's a one of a kind!!! Has anyone had or has a boat like this please chime in and let me know any info on this boat. It's powered by a 2.3 omc cobra if that helps. Thanks

Maybe somone will chime in with some info but there have been thousands and thousands of boat companies over the years with some only around for a short time and very regional so if you can't find anything on Google or Bing it was probably made by one of the smaller places that folded up and nevergained a following.

I know the OMC drive is not a good thing, parts are unobtanium so take very good care of cause if it breaks it may well stay broken.

The good news is Excel only made the hull, everything else was sourced out so it is replacable, probably not the exact same part but you should be able to find something that will work.

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe Excel was made by Wellcraft.

Get The Hull ID Number (HIN) and post it . . . HIN is on the upper part of the transom, starboard side.

There are several companies that go by the Name Excel

From the Manufacturer's Database there is:

Excel Fiberglass Corp - Lakeland, FL (EFC)

Excel Craft - Cusick, WA (EXA)

Excel Marine - Bristol, RI (EXB)

Just to name a few

The first 3 digits of the HIN will indicate the manufacturer.
