I just bought what is supposed to be a 30 hp Johnson with a "rescue jet" lower unit. I can't find any info from the numbers on the engine. The tag has this info;<br /><br />mod...AML35 D<br />NSN...8H2B05-01-267-5047<br />serial...G03186557<br />Contr....N00104-92-c-J068<br /><br />I bought a manual for 2-50 hp 90-95 2cyl Johnson and the stuff looks different in the pics. It smokes a lot while idling and has two holes in the boat side of the shaft, just above the lower pivot that exaust comes out of also..this leaves a lot of oil sludge on the lower pivot. The motor was advertised as a 92-94 Johnson 30 hp and before I buy another manual to see if it's in there I'd like to know exactly what I have. Thanks, Lee
