A little while back I bought an evinrude 90hp from a local shop and they told me it was a '93 but after buying some replacement parts it's became clear that it is not a 93.
A full inspection of the outer body of the motor shows no model number or serial number stamped or on a plate. Is there some other place I can identify this thing?
It has four plastic carbs, like the 95s have, and I wound up buying a 95 carb kit because I noticed that was different and the only parts that fit from the 95 were the needle and the part it seats into. The starter that I ordered to fit a 93 motor was too short to reach.
Any ideas where I can find a model number on here? I suppose it's possible that it's a frankenstein OMC motor.. but it would be helpful to know what i'm working with. Thanks.
