can't find the right place

Sorry, can't find the right place to post this, but, I've got a 69 evinrude 115 hp with the electric shift that I need to replace the throttle cable. How do I convert the old evinrude part numbers to a new replacement? The evinrude numbers start with 377*** and I'm finding OMC replacements starting in 176*** or 173***.

Your motor takes the old 377xxx "Long Life" cables. Newer motors, starting around 1979-ish use "Snap-In" cables, 17xxxx. They are not interchangeable. Use the old 377xxx number, they are still available. Or use Teleflex 400 series. They sell Teleflex here at iboats.
