Can't find Upper Shift Pin -1990 70HP

I recently purchased an old pontoon boat that I've been renovating. I had the engine apart for some time waiting for all the new parts, getting some heli-coils installed, and a new skeg welded on.

The model number for the engine is BE70ELESB. I think this is a 1990 engine.

All went well during re-assembly till I went to look for the little pin that holds the upper end of the shift rod to the linkage on the bottom of the crankcase.

The manual shows a little bell-crank with a bolt in it that goes through the shift rod. My engine has an arm, and I'm pretty sure it uses a little pin with a flange on one end, and a washer and cotter pin on the other.

I have looked all over the web at parts diagrams, and can't seem to find this part. I would expect to see it in the gearcase section, or the crankcase section, but can't seem to find it. Maybe it is just because I'm not really sure what I'm looking at.

I would appreciate anyone who can help with this. I have had pretty good luck locating all the other parts I've needed, but this one has me at a loss!

Thanks,

Heres a breakdown from the BRP website(brp took over OMC)your eng has a lock pin setup that once the catch on the shifter lock inter connect ,you should be able to slide the lock pin through the shaft ,that will hold it in place, the system replaced to old type ,shift rod screw set up,if my link dont work ,go to the BRP website,it will ask all kinds of info including your country etc.look for the OMC parts diagrams,

Thanks!

Your link worked fine. I had seen that page before, and from the picture, it is not at all obvious that was the part I needed! I'll order one.

I appreciate the help very much!
