I'm trying to find the year of my mercury outboard. I have tried the links posted in the stickies and I can't find my exact serial number. The previous owner says its an 80's. I found a few that are close but not really. Can anyone give me an idea? Thanks for the help. The serial number is 5608471. I have attached some pics
