I have a 98 Rinker 182 and when i push in tahe butten and pull out on the throttle lever, it will not go into neutral. This is with the boat off. Also something is wrong with the trim control, using the trim button on the throttle control, I can trim the boat down but when pushing the button to triom up nothing happens, the "trailer" trim button works.

Any suggestions would be great my local boat dealer charges $80/hr labor and was told it takes 3 hours just to get the throttle lever off, ouch!

We have no idea whether you have an I/O or an outboard, or what brand of control you have so there is no way we can "guess" what's wrong. This is the right place for electronics problems but not the right place for control issues. If you have an I/O, you need to post this in the I/O forum.
