its a 91 100 hp. been trying to get it above 4100 rpms. last time i went out it ran great right before it ran out of gas. so last night i has someone drive while i went back and started disconnecting the fuel line. about 1/2 second after fuel line is disconnected it raors up to 4800 rpms. i only disconnected it for about 2 seconds at a time. oh yeah ive also had problems the two times i put gas into it. it burps up fuel even pouring at a slow pace.

my questions:
can too long of a vent hose (5/8") cause this problem. (11ft)
could it be the new bulb i put in last year used five times.

current plan unless great minds of this forum change my idea:
drill a new vent hole towards the back of the boat and make the vent hose about 5ft with easier access to the vent (instead of behind my side cushion)
