I bought a used 17p prop for my '88 Glastron with Merc Black Max 150. I removed the old prop - which is a quicksilver 19p. I was going to reuse the hub but I don't think it will work. I can't remove the hub out of the old quicksilver prop at all. Does it have to be pressed out?? How can I tell if it will work with my new prop or not? The new quicksilver prop ad said it requires a flo-torq ii hub. Both props look identical except for the new one has a small circular lip at the rear of the hub area in the middle of the prop and the old one does not. It is completely flat. I attached a picture. The old prop is on the left and the new one on the right. Any info would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I've ever done this before. Thanks in advance-

Leave it in there. The old one has a rubber hub that presses in and out. Pressing out destroys it. Pressing in requires a special jig. The newer one uses a plastic hub that just slips in by hand. By the looks of it you need the whole FloTorq kit. Available thru Merc dealers. Looks something like this...

Thanks - thats what I assumed was happening. So when I go to sell this old prop, what kind of hub do I list that as??

Just state diameter and pitch, and say that it fits Mercury large hub V-6s and MerCruisers. A good picture will tell the rest. Include the part number as well.
