I'm just busting waiting for the first splash of the season. The winter here was so damn mild I could have gone out in Dec.. Anyway, I fired the motor & everything has been great, Well...except a bit of warp in my new deck I put down last year. That's a whole 'nother story. I hope the weather is fair enough to take it out soon. I just wanted to post up here because it's been quite a while since I've been on the forum. I've had a few other issues to tend to in my off season & the boat has not been one of them...until now. Happy to be back into the boat scene, I'm sure I'll have a ton of new questions for all of you guy's. I'm just welcoming myself back into the life. Be Kool, MAXX

hello Maxx im new to this forum but I know what your saying. I got a boat last year to fix it all up and restore figured it would take most of this year to get it at least water ready. Like you in Pa our winter was perfect in se mi. Put it in the water Sunday just in the docking area but wow what a rush. ( My first boat) I can see the addiction here. Hi im Bob and im a addicted LOL. good luck

I don't know how you seasonal guys do it. Last week saw the end of a week and a half of huge seas here and by the time the sea settled I was chewing my fingers to the elbow.

If I was getting fidgety after a week and a half of no boating, I can only imagine how you guys must feel after months without a fix.

Re: Can't wait...

It is rough, every year from Thanksgiving till the end of March first of April is down time for me but that is just how it is.

Iam in the same boat so to speak Max, I could have gotten out in Feb but the boat was torn down and work was going crazy, kind of ironic, I am too busy building other peoiples boats ot use my own.

It ios very nice to get back on the water though, i went for the second time this weekend.

Most everybody in the Northeast has had the same problem this winter... 'it's so mild, maybe I oughta launch'. Unfortunately, you can't depend on the weather to stay that way in March-April. I'm scheduled to splash around the first week in May. It'll still be the earliest I've lauched in 3 years.
