Is it ok to leave the canvas and eisenglass on the boat for winter storage? Would there be a chance for it to crack?

Re: Canvas and Eisenglass Storage

I have found it best to store the eisenglass inside during the winter. I wash it, dry it, and wrap it in an old sheet and store it under the bed. It takes a warm day to reinstall it, but it stays soft and new looking for years.

Ayuh,...... It's just like any other Plastic,.......

It gets Hard,+ Stiff in the Cold,.... Probably Shrinks Slightly as well...........

When Warmed,.. it's Plyable,+ Stretchy.......

I pull mine down,.. Clean it,+ hang it in a Closet for the Winter.....

Sunlight is Bad for it,.....
And,...
Don't Fold it,.... Lay it Flat,.. Or drape it Over something, with a sheet or blanket between the pieces......

rolling it up would probably be okay if u dont have the space to store it flat.. sadly mine has to stay on the boat all year round cos its the only thing that keeps the rain and snow out of the boat.. he he..

trog
